Overview
We’re seeking licensed Occupational Therapists for travel assignments supporting healthcare facilities in remote communities. This role focuses on helping patients regain independence and function through assessment, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions. Travel therapists typically work short-term placements to fill urgent staffing needs across different locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients’ physical, cognitive, and functional abilities and needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals
- Teach patients and caregivers techniques for daily living skills and independence
- Recommend adaptive equipment and demonstrate proper use
- Document progress, outcomes, and clinical notes
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate treatment
Requirements
- Degree in Occupational Therapy
- Active professional license (province-eligible)
- Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and teams
